Comments for the student: He spoke with confidence and appeared to know what he wants for a career. My suggestion to Mike was to be mindful of what he is doing with his hands while interviewing. When asked what motivates him, instead of saying money, I would have liked to have heard something that would tell me something about him that would want to make me to hire him.
Comments for faculty: I talked to Mike about running his hands through his hair throughout the interview. His questions could have been better thought out. His first question was about the average number of hours expected. Besides that, he did a good job in the interview.
