Comments for the student: Good job, Jake—these mock interviews can be really awkward and weird, especially on Zoom! As we discussed, make sure you are prepared for your interview, either with notes or commit to memory the information you need to know about the job/company. It is important that you convince the company that you want to work for them and that you are knowledgeable about their business. It sounds like you are invested in pursuing a career in business, which is great. Have a few additional reasons why you want to go into business other than your family experience (which you should still totally share!) so that the interviewer knows you're serious about the industry. Make sure to have at least 1-2 questions prepared to ask about the company/job at the end of the interview. As far as impressions on the interviewer, make sure to engage in a little small talk at the beginning of the interview, and put the pencil down—it's so easy to fidget and it's even easier if you have an object to fidget with. :) Practice avoiding filler words such as "like" and "you know". It's a tough habit to kick but with practice it gets easier! Overall, good job, and best of luck with your interviews and the rest of your semester!
Comments for faculty: Jake did not know what company or job he was applying for and couldn't log in to QUCC because of tech issues, so the interview was not very substantive and that is the reason for most of the low marks.

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:
As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.
The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.
