Comments for the student: Aidan was very personable in his conversation, which I greatly appreciate as a recruiter! He has a lot of interests, and some cool experiences that he elaborated on. I would challenge him to really understand why he is interested in pursuing a career in Business Analytics, and to understand how his skills makes him a great candidate. One major thing I noticed was the lack of eye contact to the camera. This is a difficult skill to master when you are not used to being on camera a lot! Also, refrain from saying "I don't know" in an interview. If you do not know something, take a moment to think about your response and explain that you are interested in learning more about the topic and ask for recommendations on what you can research.
All in all, I think Aidan has the content to be a great interviewee, but needs to work on being more pithy with his answers and focus on pulling his past experiences and what he can offer as a candidate together. Again, he was great to talk with and I think with some additional practice he will be a competitive candidate.
Comments for faculty: Aidan was not prepared in understanding why he is interested in his major or what skills he has gained in school. As a recruiter, this would have been a major red flag. I would recommend him exploring where his degree can lead him post graduation and encourage him to do more practice interviews virtually.

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
