Comments for the student: Catalina was very polite and pleasant to speak with. It was very evident that she's an outgoing person. She didn't have a specific job or company in mind so I suggested wealth management, and she was able to quickly think and give a solid answer about why her skillset may work in that field. She did a great job highlighting some soft skills that many candidates overlook, such as willingness to learn and attention to detail. I believe she'd be a fantastic student leader and I encouraged her to pursue some of those roles to bolster her experience and skills.
Comments for faculty: Catalina seems to have a lot of potential as a passionate professional in any field she chooses. She is very mature and I believe she could start to think more about her potential career paths, including what next steps to take, such as preparing to apply for law school (this was an interest she expressed).
Side note: she has "Master of Finance" on her resume and, when asked, seemed to believe that this is what her graduate degree will be. I don't believe QU offers an MSF degree and that may need to be clarified to her. It probably wasn't intentional on her part, but it came off as dishonest.
