Comments for the student: Kylie, it was great meeting you today. Showing up for a mock interview already puts you ahead of the curve, and this is exactly the stage where making mistakes is valuable. You refine everything now so that when the real opportunity comes along, you walk in fully prepared.
I liked how honest you were about preferring independent work and the clarity that numbers give you. That self awareness is a strength. For next time, spend a bit more time researching the organization and the specific role you would pursue there. Preparation is the anchor of a strong interview. You want to be ready for foundational questions like your greatest strength and how that strength would serve the team.
If you get a question that requires a deeper level of thought, take your time. It is completely fine to pause, acknowledge that the question deserves a thoughtful answer, and gather your thoughts before responding. That shows composure, not hesitation.
Keep practicing and keep building these reps. Every conversation sharpens your instincts for the next one.

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:
As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.
The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.
