Comments for the student: Ben's biggest strengths in the interview were that he knew exactly what the job was he was applying for and the way he showcased his analytical skills. I was particularly impressed by how he answered the "Why did you choose Quinnipiac?" question. He mentioned the AACSB accreditation and that his other top choice did not have it. That to me showed a curious, research-oriented personality which fit well with the FBI role he wrote his cover letter for.
Overall, I think he should try and be more confident when speaking about himself and the role. He seemed a bit nervous. Ultimately, you know yourself better than anyone! He said all of the right things, which was great, he just needs to deliver it with a bit more confidence and he will do well. Lastly, for the "Why should I hire you?" question, he should answer that more how he has his resume bullets written out. His resume is very well structured where he shows tangible results of "I was assigned with ___ and did ____ and the result was ___." I think if he spoke about some of those things he would do a decent job showing his potential value add to the employer.
