Comments for the student: It was great meeting Gennaro and learning about his background and ambitions for the future. Gennaro came prepared, was personable and authentic, and provided thoughtful answers to all questions. In particular, he showcased that he knew what he wanted to do within Finance, and was direct and confident in communicating his ambitions. Through many of his answers, Gennaro also demonstrated that he is both coachable and adaptable which is a great asset and will stand out to hiring managers in any future interviews. One of the items of feedback I shared to elevate Gennaro's interviewing skills further, is to answer the first question ("tell me about yourself") by framing the answer listing accomplishments and achievements (in terms of who he is, what he is accomplishing, his past work experience, leadership, etc). I also advised that he should always research any company he applies to in the future to be deeply knowledgeable about the company, its structure, and core mission statement and principles. He can then weave these components into his answers, particularly when asked why he wants to work for that specific company. As Gennaro continues gaining interviewing experiences and practicing, he should focus on removing filler language ("stuff like that". "I guess") in order to come off even stronger and more direct. Gennaro did a great job and with practice and refinement will stand out in future interviews. Nice job Gennaro!

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:
As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.
The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.
If you are not in direct contact with your interviewer, it’s still often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note to the interview coordinator following your interview(s). Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
