Interviewer Comments

Comments for the student: Overall excellent job. Jake was a clear standout in all of the students interviewed today. Jake was extremely personable, exhibited a charismatic and passionate attitude throughout the interview, and showcased excellent delivery in his answers, interviewing at an elevated level. Jake did an excellent job directly highlighting his strengths, particularly in his answers to the first few questions (Tell me about yourself / Why Quinnipiac). He should continue doing this in live interviews with this first question by summarizing who he is, his background, and accomplishments, while also weaving in his strengths and why he is the best candidate for the role off the bat. He also was one of the only students today who could specifically speak to the benefits of Quinnipiac's programs in terms of why he chose it. Jake supported most of his answers with stories, adding an element of personal touch in his approach to be memorable (which is important when standing out against other candidates in an interview). The one piece of feedback I shared was encouraging Jake to research the company he is interviewing for to understand the company's core values and mission statement and to weave those values into his answer (Why are you interested in working for our company question) I was very impressed with Jake's interview skills and accomplishments. He should look to seek ambitious opportunities and internships at top level investment banking firms as I believe he has the talent, soft skills, and ambition to be a competitive candidate with resume refinement and additional training. Excellent job Jake!

Include your interview feedback link with a thank-you note to your interviewer

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.

Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:

As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.

The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.

Include your interview feedback link with a thank-you note to your interview coordinator

If you are not in direct contact with your interviewer, it’s still often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note to the interview coordinator following your interview(s). Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
