Interviewer Comments

Comments for the student: Overall, excellent job! Alexa immediately established her confidence and preparedness, providing comprehensive and detailed answers to all questions asked of her. In particular, I was so impressed with the delivery, quality, and maturity of Alexa's responses. When asked to introduce herself / give background, she provided a well-rounded and detailed response on her educational pursuits, her ethnic background, her involvement in the community, and her extracurriculars. She also provided insight into her strengths (ie problem solving) and showcased pride in her cultural background. This set up the remainder of the interview for success, and I would encourage her to continue using this approach for future interviews as this will set her apart and make her memorable to the interviewer. Alexa also provided a detailed response on the job description she provided (David Yurman financial role) and why she would want to work in the role which was the best response I received on this question yesterday. She provided examples and details to support all of her answers (ie demonstrating her leadership as a swim captain during high school and spreading positivity during a vulnerable time to support her answer on why we should hire her to the role). As Alexa continues to interview for internships and roles in the future, she should continue practicing to eliminate some filler words to have even more direct responses, but this will organically develop over time. Excellent job Alexa!
Comments for faculty: Best interview out of the group of 10 students I worked with and interviewed yesterday! Super impressed.

Include your interview feedback link with a thank-you note to your interviewer

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.

Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:

As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.

The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.

Include your interview feedback link with a thank-you note to your interview coordinator

If you are not in direct contact with your interviewer, it’s still often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note to the interview coordinator following your interview(s). Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
