Comments for the student: Overall excellent job - Abby was extremely personable and authentic, delivering her responses with confidence. We talked about how the personable and authentic components / letting personality come through during interviews makes the interview memorable and helps candidate stand out from other applicants who approach the interview too robotically. I specifically liked how Abby took the opportunity to highlight her strengths and leadership abilities in the first question asked ("tell me about yourself"). She demonstrated that not only was she confident in her strengths but also supported her answers with examples and stories to support her thoughts (ie referencing her philanthropic work through Q-thon). My one piece of feedback to further elevate her answers, specifically on "why do you want to work for our company" is to research the company in depth and the company's mission statement and core values. These core values can then be weaved into the response to showcase why she is the best cultural fit (company culture) for the role.
