Comments for the student: I encouraged William to share examples of his knowledge and previous work when answering interview questions and on his resume to help the employer connect his background with the position he is applying for. I also encouraged him to ensure he has researched the company well and focus on making statements related to how he can help the company versus how the company can help him. Don't forget to talk more about your major and relevant coursework (upcoming capstone) as it relates to your background and the positions you are applying for. Finally, I encouraged William to have more confidence in himself. I did notice quite a few moments of hesitation and "um"/"like" fillers when responding so do not be afraid to pause before responding and believe in yourself!
Comments for faculty: William did share he had technical difficulties logging into my Zoom meeting so the interview seemed a bit rushed and we jumped right in before having some small talk. I also plan to send him some comments I have on his resume and how he can showcase more examples on there as well as I found those were lacking (he is very generalized). I ensured he had my contact information so I can remain a point of contact to assist him in any future interview practice.

If you are in direct contact with you interviewer, it is often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note following the interview. Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
Here is some sample language you can use within your thank-you note, which we encourage you to revise as you feel is most appropriate:
As I am new to the interviewing process and always looking to improve, I'd like to ask if you would take a minute to give me some (anonymous) interview feedback.
The following link [insert your interview feedback URL] contains just five general questions about my interview performance and is designed to be completed in under a minute.
If you are not in direct contact with your interviewer, it’s still often considered a best practice to send a brief thank-you note to the interview coordinator following your interview(s). Within that note, you can share your interview feedback link.
