Comments for the student: Triston- Wonderful job! Below are the comments we reviewed after our practice interview:
- "Tell me about yourself" add in some general information (hometown, etc.) rather than jumping right into your experiences from your resume. These facts can help the interviewer paint the picture of where you came from, where you are now, and why you're interviewing for this specific role
- Why QU: great answer, showed a lot of research and forethought! Remember to do this level of research for your future interview. Great job tying in your conversation from the career fair.
- What's your long-term goal: you mentioned you weren't sure if it would be at the company you were interviewing for. It's okay to say that you want to grow as a professional but remember that your interviewer is trying to answer the question "why should I invest in this person?". It can be good to mention skills or responsibilities you want to gain through the position you are interviewing for, or framing your goals in a way that are in line with the company's objectives.
- Why should I hire you: Nice statements that tied in your skills from previous experience and related to required skills for the job.
